2005 MasterCraft X7

The 2005 MasterCraft X7 is a highly regarded direct-drive tow boat built on the proven ProStar 190 hull. It excels at slalom skiing while still producing a strong wake for wakeboarding when equipped with ballast.

Performance

• Slalom skiing: Outstanding. The X7 has one of the smallest and softest wakes of any production ski boat.
• Wakeboarding: Excellent with ballast. The factory ballast can be supplemented with additional bags to create a steep, clean wake.
• Tubing: Plenty of power and maneuverability.
• Wakesurfing: Possible, but limited. As a direct-drive boat it requires substantial aftermarket ballast and a surf device, and it won't match the surf wave of a V-drive wake boat.
